Apple has begun beta testing for iOS and iPadOS 27.3, along with the 27.3 versions of all its other operating systems. This release should bring early Apple Intelligence features to China, as well as the Audio Intelligence features of Apple Watch Series 12 and Ultra 4, the redesigned Health app, and new Siri AI features within apps.

We expect the final public release will take place sometime near the end of November or early December.

What’s new in the iOS 27.3 beta

Here are some of the new features and changes discovered in the iOS 27.3 beta so far:

New Health app: The newly-designed Health app is back, after a brief appearance in the 27.2 betas.

Audio Intelligence: Together with an Apple Watch Series 12 or Ultra 4, the Live Rewind and Siri Recap features are now available. Read more about privacy with these features here.

Safari features: Safari gets vertical tabs, Siri AI actions, and adaptive dark mode. Read more about these feautres here.

Siri AI languages: Siri AI expands to Traditional Chinese, Vietnamese, Turkish, and Norwegian.

iPhone Duo Reachability: An accessibility feature made to shift content to the side on the iPhone Duo, so it’s easier to reach on the extra-wide phone.

Apple Intelligence in China: China gets some basic Apple Intelligence features like Writing Tools, Visual Intelligence, Clean Up, Genmoji, and more. Siri AI is not available.

Fitness+ Gym Strength: New features in Fitness+ to build a gym strength training plan including the ability to track reps and weight.

StandBy updates: On regular iPhones, StandBy mode has more of the options and configurability found on iPhone Duo. It still only works when your iPhone is charging, unlike iPhone Duo.

Siri actions in Apple apps: Siri gets a lot of new capabilites across Apple apps like Calendar, Music, Messages, Reminders, Weather, and more. You can ask Siri what it can do in each app.

Siri actions in third-party apps: The 27.3 developer previews add App Intents for developers that allow them to integrate their content and actions into Siri. So data from third-party apps can be part of your “personal context” and you can use natural language to have Siri perform actions in those apps (once they are updated to do so).
